Noel Street, Chairman of the West Midlands Construction Industry Council, yesterday chaired a meeting of member organisations to discuss the rollout of BESS.
Representatives from the CITB, RICS, RIBA, ICE, STEMNET, RTPI and NAWIC joined the discussion alongside representatives from Birmingham City Council, Birmingham City University, Hot500, Clarke Willmott and BESS.
Some key recommendations included:
- ensure offline communications are consistent and accessible
- support MADE’s City Build programme
- make use of connections with current Local Authority contractors
- signpost the Council’s CSR City programme
- utilise free support from STEMNET
- develop relationships with trade federations
